These downdraft systems are custom built by us at Alpinecanada.com.
They are the only hidden-down draft ventilator and undermount-down draft vent system currently available in North America that conceals the unit under your countertop.
You see our #SA-DD45 with an under-mount kit, with a PITT Cooking DANAU cooktop in black Dekton material.
These integrate and work in all our PITT, and VarioCook cooktops both gas and induction
We have three model sizes
Three model sizes of 30 inch, 36 inch, and 45 inch allow our hidden down draft ventilator to undermount the down draft vent to fit most applications. With powers of 600cfm to over 1500cfm of air movement, your neighbors know what you are cooking!

Control can be mounted anywhere
The hidden down draft ventilator control can be mounted anywhere with over 8 feet of supplied cable. You can see the control panels in the right-hand bottom of the screen. This PITT Cooking DANAU cooktop on the island looks fabulous installed with our undermount down draft vent system

This 9-foot x 6-inch wide custom soffit insert we built was designed to disappear in the ceiling and was placed above our fabulous PITT Cooking system.

Oh, how I wish we had better photos of this as it's a stunning installation that worked beautifully with our PITT DANAU cooking system. The best part about this was its engineering to make it draw air evenly from the entire length of the hood as we had no choice

Not a standard hood fan
The photo above reflects the quality we like to achieve with all of our work.
There are so many little details that can make or break a fine job, like materials selected for the fit and finish.
In this case, the ceiling was 14 feet tall.
No manufacturers make a hood fan that can accommodate this ceiling height.
When we say modified, the mounting skeleton hardware was rebuilt and was lengthened to accommodate the 14-foot ceiling height.
This was done to get just the right size above the cooktop for both form and function.
We then produced our custom one-piece stainless steel chimney, which was added to give it a beautiful seak look that compliments the quality of the kitchen.
We manufacture several diffrent customized models.
The "SA-HFC-1" For wall-mounted units.
The "SA-HFC-I2 " for island models, as you see above.
The "SA-PRO-1" and "SA-PRO-2" for Professional model's hood fans depending on the model size.

Trade Wind insert
Here you see our Trade-Wind brand insert with a custom stainless trim for ease of cleaning under the wall-mounted custom wood enclosure.
Another angle of the Trade Wind hood fan insert. What we like about these are they are American-made quality, with fabulous suction for removing cooking smells. That way your neighbors know when to come over for dinner!
Again this is the same Trade Wind hood fan insert but without a stainless protector. A different look but still that great ability to remove smells and heat.
One last shot of the Trade Wind hood fan insert. These are available in 36 inch wide and there are other models in 30 inches wide. Ducting required for these models is between 6"-7" or 8-inch diameter round duct. The size determines the CFM or "cubic feet per minute" of air they can remove. In some cases you may have to add make up air. This is something we talk with you and your contractor about
