Nothing looks more elegant than a hidden downdraft system from us at Alpinecanada.com
These downdraft systems are custom built by us at Alpinecanada.com. They are the only under-mount downdraft system currently available in North America that conceals the unit under your countertop. You see our SA-DD45 with under-mount kit, with a PITT DANAU cook top in black Dekton material.
Three model sizes of 30 inch, 36 inch, and 45 inch allow our downdraft system to fit most applications. With powers of 600cfm to over 1200cfm of air movement, your neighbors know what you are cooking!
You see the 45 inch model with the PITT DANAU cook top here.
The ventilator control can be mounted anywhere with over 8 feet of supplied cable. You can see the control panels in the right-hand bottom of the screen. This PITT DANAU cooktop on the island looks fabulous as far as we are concerned!
The photo above reflects the quality we like to achieve with all of our work.
There are so many little details that can make or break a fine job, like materials selected for the fit and finish.
In this case, the ceiling was 14 feet tall.
There are no manufacturers that make a hood fan that can accommodate this ceiling height.
Our solution was to take an off the shelf standard model and modify it.
When I say modified, the mounting skeleton hardware was rebuilt and was lengthened to accommodate the 14-foot ceiling height.
We then produced a custom one-piece stainless steel chimney, which was added to give it a beautiful seak look which compliments the quality kitchen.
It's all in the details!
This 9-foot x 6-inch wide custom soffit insert we built was designed to disappear in the ceiling and was placed above our fabulous PITT Cooking system.
What you see is an engineered custom 9 foot long by 6-inch-wide soffit mounted hood fan with a custom roof-mounted remote blower system. Oh, how I wish we had better photos of this as it's a stunning installation that worked beautifully with our PITT DANAU cooking system. The best part about this was its engineering to make it draw air evenly from the entire length of the hood as we had no choice
A PITT cooking system cooktop with custom 9-foot-long soffit insert above. The cooktop you see is the four-burner PITT DANAU with a wok ring on the right side.
Here you see our Trade-Wind brand insert with a custom stainless trim for ease of cleaning under the wall-mounted custom wood enclosure.
Another angle of the Trade Wind hood fan insert. What we like about these are they are American-made quality, with fabulous suction for removing cooking smells. That way your neighbors know when to come over for dinner!
Again this is the same Trade Wind hood fan insert but without a stainless protector. A different look but still that great ability to remove smells and heat.
One last shot of the Trade Wind hood fan insert. These are available in 36 inch wide and there are other models in 30 inches wide. Ducting required for these models is between 6"-7" or 8-inch diameter round duct. The size determines the CFM or "cubic feet per minute" of air they can remove. In some cases you may have to add make up air. This is something we talk with you and your contractor about
